Future Women in Law Enforcement

The Winnipeg Police Service, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and Canada Border Services Agency will be hosting a “Future Women in Law Enforcement”, two-day workshop on May 4th & 5th, 2017 at Winnipeg Police Service Headquarters.

Our agencies recognize the vital role that female, front-line officers play in our commitment to protect and serve our communities and country. Through this workshop, we will deliver a creative and interactive learning experience for young women interested in law enforcement careers, foster these ambitions, and empower them to identify and unleash their individual potential.

As you may have already expressed an interest in law enforcement or know someone who may wish to attend, you are receiving this letter with the opportunity to apply (see link below). Please note that spots will be limited, and candidates will be selected based on the completed applications, including selection criteria.

The cost of this workshop is free and is open to women 18 years of age and up. Successful candidates will be responsible for their own transportation and accommodation costs. The workshop will be held from 12:00 p.m – 5:00 p.m. (Friday) and 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Saturday). In order to be selected, you must be available for the workshop in its entirety.

Please visit the Winnipeg Police Service’s website, http://www.winnipeg.ca/police/ after February 20th to apply!
