Rebels Women’s Soccer adds Madison Kaatz

Red River College Women’s Soccer is pleased to announce the commitment of Madison Kaatz to the Rebels for the upcoming 2017 MCAC season.

Madison played youth soccer with Phoenix FC and Gateway CC.  With Phoenix FC Madison played in the Developmental program from ages 11 to 13.  With Phoenix FC Madison participated in the USA Cup tournament, Blaine MN. 

After a season off due to injury, Madison joined Gateway CC U-18 as an underage 15 year old and played four years with this team.  Madison was a regular top scorer with Gateway and helped the team win three City Championships in the WYSA U-18 A Division.  Madison now plays senior Soccer with two Co-Ed teams.

Madison plays Striker, and describes speed and shooting as some of her strengths.  “Madison has already begun pre-season training with the Rebels and these attributes are very apparent”, says Head Coach Doug Lawrie, “She will play an important role in our plan for a multi-dimensional attack and scoring by committee.”

Madison graduated from River East Collegiate in 2015.  Since high school Madison has been working with at-risk youth, and will be entering the Child and Youth Care program at Red River College.

Rebels women’s soccer are still recruiting for the 2017 season, holding training camp every Mon, Wed, Thur until August 24 from 6pm – 7:30 pm at the fields located on the Notre Dame Campus. Additional sessions will be held August 29th in the North Gym and August 30th at the outdoor fields.
