Are there unloading areas?

Faculty and staff may need to load/unload equipment or learning material and are encouraged to use the loading dock area or the two signed stalls in the contractor lot. The vehicle must be moved to the assigned spot immediately after loading/unloading.

Is there special parking for those with mobility issues?

Special arrangements may be made for students and staff with physical disabilities. A medical certificate must be presented at time of application.

Where do guests of the College park?

Parking arrangements for College-invited guests must be made in advance by submitting a Guest Parking Request form. For further details please contact Commuting & Parking  at parking@rrc.ca.

Where do visitors and staff from other campuses park at the Notre Dame Campus?

Staff visiting NDC from other campuses for meetings must report to the information booth located in the South Lot upon arrival. Please have your staff card ready. All visitors are required to report to  the Information booth upon arrival.

Where do students park on the first day of classes?

Students may park in student designated lots upon arrival and visit the Commuting & Parking Office (D-100) to pick up their pass on the first day of classes. Please observe posted signs as parking in unauthorized areas will result in tickets being issued.

Why do I need to provide my licence plate number?

Commuting & Parking  has a licence plate recognition system that enhances the efficiency of  operations and also contributes to RRC’s sustainability efforts by reducing the amount of plastic and paper consumed annually.

To ensure compliance with the system, it is the responsibility of all student and staff with monthly parking permits to ensure the license plates registered in their profile are always up to date, To add/delete license plates from your profile, go to the parking app in HUB.

Failure to keep your licence plates up-to-date will result in parking tickets being issued.

Can I park in the bus loop?

The bus loop is for pick-up and drop-off only. Unattended vehicles parked in the bus loop are subject to a ticket and being towed at the owner’s expense.

Can I park at the campus overnight?

There is no parking at the Notre Dame Campus between 12:00am and 6:00am without prior authorization from Parking Services. Any vehicle left during this time may be towed at the owner’s expense.

Can I get a refund for my parking pass?

Students must apply for a parking pass refund at the Student Service Centre (D-101). Refunds will be issued only to the original pass holder and will be calculated from the day the pass is returned. Passes with 14 days or less until expiry will not be issued a refund. Refunds will be processed in approximately 15 business days.

Can I get a parking pass before being accepted into my program?

Applications for monthly passes will be processed regardless of admission status. Passes issued prior to acceptance into a program does not guarantee a student a seat in the program. Students should ensure they have a seat or are continuing in their program before purchasing parking. Refunds may not be available after student admission status is cancelled or suspended from the program.

Can I appeal a parking ticket?

Parking tickets may be appealed at the Commuting & Parking Office (D-100). You may speak with the Parking Manager or the Parking Clerk for a copy of the appeal process format.

I forgot my parking pass, what do I do?

If you forgot your parking pass, please proceed to one of the three Pay and Display lots and purchase parking for the day.
