This full-time, competency-based program is for students who want to develop English language proficiency for further studies/training, employment, settlement, or daily life. Full-time terms are 5 months long and you can continue to move up a level until you reach the required level for your chosen academic program in College or University or until you reach your personal goals.
In addition to classroom study, your learning will be enhanced through language and computer laboratory work, guest speakers, field trips, informational interviews, community contact assignments, and observations of career programs.
This unique program is for students who want to develop English language proficiency and sociocultural skills for further studies/training, employment, settlement, or daily life. The unique blended delivery approach is a good solution for students who are not able to be in a full-time classroom. In this short term program, a few learning methods are used, adding up to 25 hours/week for a total of 16 weeks.
In addition to face-to-face instruction in the classroom and computer labs, students will also learn independently through online instruction/activities. Students in this program should be self-motivated, comfortable using technology, and open to new ways of learning.
These competency-based programs are for students who want to develop English language proficiency for further training opportunities, or employment in a specific job market. All of our programs are full-time, however the AEPUCE program is also offered on a part-time basis. Full-time programs are 5 months long.

In all ESP classes, there is an emphasis on learning and using proper socio-communication in a Canadian context.
The Language Training Centre offers all of its students access to an online learning tool which helps you build the language skills necessary for your specific occupation or education goals. This state-of-the-art software has vocabulary-building exercises and skill-building activities in reading, writing, listening and speaking. In addition, it uses advanced speech recognition technology, interactive dialogues, and videos to help immerse you in the study of language.
A Workplace Language Exposure program is a part of all the Stage 2 (CLB 5+ to CLB 8) Intensive English courses, as well as some of the English for Specific Purposes (ESP) programs. This 3-week exposure gives students the opportunity to learn and use workplace language, gain valuable Canadian work experience, practise essential employability skills, andmake important connections with employers and colleagues in your occupational field.
