Introduction to Business Information Technology

Gain a solid foundation for the Business Information Technology program.

Take this program if you would like to gain a solid foundation in information technology but you do not meet the admission requirements for the two-year Business Information Technology (BIT) program.

This program includes both preparatory courses and some Term 1 BIT courses, which may reduce your Term 1 course load if you continue into the BIT program.

You must take and pass all five courses during the term with an overall GPA of 2.0 to be automatically registered in Term 1 BIT for the following academic term. It is the program’s recommendation that students have a minimum GPA of 2.5 before moving to Term 1 BIT.

You may only attempt the Introduction to BIT program one time.

Students who do not enter BIT through Introduction to BIT are still eligible to enter the BIT program through the normal entrance requirements.

Note: Introduction to BIT will not be delivered as a laptop delivery program. Any courses requiring the use of a computer will be scheduled into a computer lab at the College.
