Moving Into Residence

Reminder to all new RRC Residents, do NOT print your student card at Student Services until after you have checked into Residence. Printing your student card prior to check-in will cost you $25.

What to do When You Arrive

New Residents should report to the Security desk at the main Residence entrance (504 Main Street) and will be checked into their suite by the Resident Assistant on duty.

Check in times are weekdays between 4:30pm-10:00pm and weekends 8:30am-10:00pm.

The Resident Assistant (RA), is a Campus Living student, whose role is to support and assist residents living in residence. The RA will have your move-in package which will include your residence key, mailbox key, and laundry card. You must sign your contract with them and then complete the unit condition report on your room. The unit condition report tracks any existing issues or concerns in your unit and will be helpful in establishing your residence deposit refund upon your move-out.

Airport Pickup

International students should contact International Education for information regarding airport pickups.

Parking

There is no Resident parking at the Exchange District Campus. Please visit the following link for information on daily and monthly parking near the Residence: www.impark.com

Tenant Insurance

A certificate of Tenant Insurance is mandatory for all Residents, and must be submitted to the Campus Living Office within 10 business days from your move-in date.

Request your Move-In Date.

On your Residence Application in the comments section add your requested move-in date. All requests will be accommodated based on availability. Once your application has been processed you can refer to your room offer email to find your approved move in date.

During the Spring term RRC students are not required to be attending classes in order to live in Residence.

Residence Move-In Fall 2018 (August 23 – December 15)

Main Move-In Day August 23rd.

New and Returning Residents report to Residence staff at the main entrance (504 Main Street) and will be checked into their suite.

Check in between 9:00am-3:00pm

  • Receive your Residence key, mailbox key, and laundry card. Sign your Residence contract and complete the unit condition report on your room.
  • The RA will escort you Student Services to have your student card printed
  • Report to the Campus Living Office to purchase your optional meal plan.

Check in between 4:00pm-9:00pm

  • Receive your Residence key, mailbox key, and laundry card. Sign your Residence contract and complete the unit condition report on your room.
  • You will not be able to print your student card or activate a meal plan after 3:00pm.
Airport Pickup

International students should contact International Education for information regarding airport pickups.

Parking

Parking will be provided for Residents moving into the building from 9:00am-3:00pm at no cost. Check back for updated parking information closer to move-in day.

Request an Early move-in (prior to August 23rd)

RRC International Students may request to move into Residence up to two weeks in advance of their program, and will be accommodated based on availability. Please contact the Campus Living Office for more details.

Late Arrivals

If you are unable to move in on your designated move-in day, please notify the Campus Living Office as soon as possible.
