Application Fee

The non-refundable application fee is used to process your application. You pay this fee once per academic year (including renewals between academic years), but you do not need to pay it to renew between terms in the same academic year.

You must pay the application fee within two business days of submitting your application form. See our Payment Options to find out how you can pay.

Residence Deposit

You must pay your residence deposit within five business days from when an initial room offer is sent. This deadline drops to two business days in April, August, and December, due to the approaching move-in date.

*Sponsored students must contact the Campus Living Office prior to the payment deadline to make special arrangements.

*Residence Deposit is waived for RRC students that will be living in residence for less than 60 days.

Residence Fees

Fall 2017 & Winter 2018

August 24, 2017 – April 29, 2018

Red River College Students living in Residence for 60 days or longer.

Residence Fees cover your room, Meal Plan costs, and $10 Residence Programming fee, and are due in full five business days before your move-in date. This deadline is for all students, including those waiting for external funding such as loans, sponsorship, and bursaries.

Room and Meal Plan Fees for each Four-month Term

*Fees shown below are approximate, and are based on a term length of 120 days. Each resident’s fees are pro-rated to the exact number of days in the individual’s residence contract. These fees do not include the $50 application fee or the $350 residence deposit. Fees are subject to change.

Options for residents who attend classes at the Notre Dame Campus or the Exchange District Campus:

Room with Lite Taxable Meal Program       $2923

Room with Basic Taxable Meal Program    $3373

Room with Regular Tax-Free Meal Plan     $4073

Options for residents who attend classes at other locations (Language Training Centre, Stevenson Campus, RRC Railway Conductor Training Facility)

Room only, no Meal Plan                              $2348

Room with Lite Taxable Meal Program         $2923

Room with Basic Taxable Meal Program      $3373

Room with Regular Tax-Free Meal Plan       $4073

Mandatory Tenant Insurance is required for all students living in Residence for 60 days or longer. For more information see Tenant Insurance.

Short Term Stays (shorter than 60 days) 

Note: students who book for 4, 8, or 12 month stays get priority over short term stays. Residents enrolled in short term programs must provide proof of program registration, start, and end dates.

Red River College Students

Room only, no Meal Plan stays of less than 31 days   $210/week + tax

Room only, optional Meal Plan stays of 31-60 days              $22/night

  • No Residence deposit required for students living in Residence for less than 60 days.
  • No mandatory Tenant Insurance required for students living in Residence for less than 60 days.
  • No residence programming fee required for students living in Residence for less than 60 days.   
  • Students may choose to purchase RED cards from any RRC Food Services location.
 Visiting Scholars

 Post-secondary Students enrolled in a program outside of RRC

Room only, no Meal Plan stays of less than 31 days           $210/week + tax

Room only, no Meal Plan stays of 31 days or longer           $22/night

  • Residence deposit required for all Visiting Scholar students living in Residence.
  • Mandatory Tenant Insurance required for all students living in Residence for 60 days or longer
  • No residence programming fee required for students living in Residence for less than 60 days.
  • No Meal plan. Students may purchase RED cards from any RRC Food Services location
