Manitoba Construction Codes for Design Professionals – Only 2 spaces remaining

This comprehensive 2 day course will provide participants with an overview of the following Code subjects:

  • Code development in Canada
  • Understanding the provisions of the Building Code
  • Understanding the defined terms of Canada’s Codes
  • Understanding of Passive and Active Life Safety Systems
  • Classification of buildings
  • Introduce size and construction requirements defined by Code
  • Discuss occupant loads
  • Means of egress, exits and the Code requirements
  • Discuss Fire Separations and Fire Resistance Ratings
  • Provide Code direction on conducting a Code Analysis
  • Overview of the Fire Code relating to Design
  • Overview of the Energy Code relating to Design

Dates: November 24 & 25, 2017 – Full attendance is required.

Time: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm each day

Location: Red River College Notre Dame Campus

Instructors: Al Gray and Alex Campbell

Course Cost: $525 + GST

Course cost also includes: morning coffee, lunch and parking.

 

There will be an optional examination for this course. The exam will be scheduled at a later date by the participant contacting Tammy Harper at tvharper@rrc.ca.  Exam Cost: $150
