With the implementation of the College’s strategic plan, the focus is now on growth of a full development program in order to support the College’s vision and mission. A focus of the plan is to support the College’s triple bottom line: “People, Planet and Profits.”
The Advancement Office engages in special initiatives that support student awards, programs and development.
Buy a Brick
Build our Future. Buy a Brick.
Your commitment to the College – set in stone. Engraved brick walkways are a celebration of those with a special connection to Red River College and are a meaningful way to honour a friend, remember a loved one, or mark a special occasion for years to come.
Proceeds go to Red River College’s Special Initiatives Endowment Fund for a solid future in education. Gifts will allow for the funding of future institutional needs and priorities, and will ensure there are significant resources for important initiatives, including:
- State-of-the-art equipment for learning applications and research
- Required supports to ensure equal access to education
- Support for innovative learning techniques
- Support for RRC’s strategic priorities
Pick your pathway
Not only will your contribution help us to raise funds for the Special Initiatives Endowment Fund, it will also be your mark at the College for many years to come. That’s why we have selected two very visible and prominent locations for the bricks.
Notre Dame Campus
Those who choose to have their bricks displayed at the Notre Dame Campus will find them prominently featured at the entrance to Building A. This is a high-traffic area, and a highly visible location – one that will make it easy for friends, family and co-workers to see your contribution to the College for years to come.
Exchange District Campus
We have secured space in the heart of Winnipeg at The Roblin Centre, adjacent to the Buhler Learning Commons on the East side. This is also a high-traffic area that invites students, staff and faculty, as well as people from the community, to visit the College on a daily basis. The location is highly visible and accessible, and will showcase your contribution to the College’s continued success.
Don’t miss the chance to ensure you’re part of our lasting legacy – order your brick today!
Dimensions of your brick:
Size: 4” x 8” ($100 each)
Create your personalized message:
Note: Each space and punctuation mark counts as a character. Red River College reserves the right to edit messages with the approval of the donor.
Brick: 3 lines, 14 characters each line.
A tax receipt will be issued for the full gift amount.
Note: Once installed, bricks will not be able to be removed for changes or additions to the message. All bricks will remain in place until the pathway needs to be replaced/removed, changes to the pathway are made, or due to circumstance beyond our control. If such an occurrence happens, Red River College will make every attempt to contact the donor.
Special thanks to RRC’s Greenspace Management and Masonry students for their assistance.
Sponsoring Refugee Program
World University Services of Canada’s (WUSC) Student Refugee Program (SRP) has enabled over 1000 refugees to settle in Canada as permanent residents and pursue post-secondary education. Every year, over 55 refugees enter Canada as permanent residents through the SRP and immediately begin their post-secondary education.
WUSC ensures the success of the program by facilitating the overseas selection of the refugees in cooperation with international agencies and the Canadian government, placing them at a Canadian university or college, and providing training and guidance to the Local WUSC Committees. Each refugee is sponsored by a campus-based WUSC Local Committee, which raises the necessary funds ahead of time and provides the student with at least 12 months of financial, social and academic support. Help support the start-up of a Red River College Local Committee and change a refugee student’s life today.
You can support this initiative by making a donation to the Student Refugee Program Fund. For more information, please contact:

10-60-1 (10 Students, 60 Minutes, 1 Tab) is geared towards fostering positive interactions between RRC partners and current students. For one hour, industry partners can interact in a lunchtime setting with a group of 10 Red River College students (preferably enrolled in a program your company hires from), with the tab to be picked up by the industry partner.
The program will allow students to learn from professionals in the workforce. The premise is simple: it’s hoped industry partners will share career experience and knowledge to create meaningful conversation in a private setting.
If you would like to become involved in 10-60-1, please contact Janice Lowry at 204.632.3031 or email@example.com.
Youth in Care
Covering the costs of a post-secondary education is a challenging endeavor and, for youth growing up in the child welfare system, attaining a post-secondary education is all too often an unreachable goal.
Now, youth in Manitoba who grew up in the child welfare system have the opportunity to attend Red River College tuition-free. The Youth in Care bursaries remove one of many barriers that typically see less than five percent of youth in care pursue a post-secondary education.
Tuition will be fully covered by revenue generated from the College’s Youth in Care Bursary Fund and, when applicable, donations to the fund will be matched through the Province’s Manitoba Scholarship and Bursary Initiative (MSBI).
