Dosage Calculations I is the set of tests that occur within the first couple of months of the Nursing Program.
The worksheets below include both practice worksheets and tests designed as a review of Dosage Calculations component necessary for the Nursing Program at Red River College.
Test Tips:
- Do Not use a calculator when working on the question sheets and practice tests. Practice solving questions by hand – you will be better prepared for the test.
- Always show your units in the answer. 50 mL MUST be written as 50 mL, not 50.
- When writing a decimal smaller than 1 (i.e. 0.25) ALWAYS put a zero to the left of the decimal. Therefore, an answer of 0.15 mL is NOT written as .15 (without the zero).
PRACTICE TESTS
Take care and work hard but not too hard – It is really important to take breaks.
The following practice tests are from years prior to 2012. They focus primarily on dosage calculations and some metric units, and abbreviations. There is little material on fundamental mathematics.
