Program outlines include entrance requirements, course descriptions, prerequisites and graduation requirements. It is your responsibility to ensure program and course prerequisites are met as outlined in the program outline. You may be required to withdrawal from the course if prerequisites are not met. Prerequisite requirements may be waived in special circumstances.
Textbooks and Supplies
Textbooks and related supplies are available at the Campus Store.
Most distance delivery course packages include the required textbook (the cost is included in the course fee). In some instances, one textbook is used for two or more courses. And in some cases, the textbook is sold separately. You will be advised of any additional cost when you register. The book can be sent with your course package, if requested.
Financial aid may be available to students if they are working towards a certificate or diploma. Part-time courses that are not part of a certificate or diploma will not be eligible for a Canada Student Loan. If the student is applying for a student loan, he/she is required to bring loan papers to be signed at the time of registration.
Your First Class
You will receive a course outline detailing contents, assignments, and evaluation procedures from your instructor during the first class. At this time, you will be advised of any course requirements that may occur outside of regular class time.
Distance Delivery: Starting Your Course
For courses with monthly start dates, your course package is sent via Canada Post within two – four working days of the course start date. For term courses, it is sent five – seven working days prior to the term course start date. Your course package includes learning materials, a set of directions, your instructor’s name, plus other necessary details.
